..it cannot be a coincidence as i write these lines from hampi in the south, when the first batch arrives in dhrafa the same day, without me; some divine plans at work; it is exciting to see the nextgen indian architects to be the first ones when it comes to taking a leap into the expirential learning that dhrafa studio seems to be offering. pranit, abhijna, anna and parthavi, each one equipped with a unique talent of theirs are all there. setting up the studio s atmosphere to start the work for next weeks. the first batch has the ardent task of infusing life into a vision; creating an atmosphere of learning, while exploring life in the village and follow up on your own work at auroville office;
as this comes a few years before its schedule, dhrafa studio will keep exploring its areas of work and hopefully become a catalyst in playing a constructive role that strengthens the positive sentiment of the village life; learning from the experiences of daily life in a village through your profession, as architects, as students for life; learning through interaction, enquiry, involvement & initiation into the life of a village community, a community where we are rooted, culturally, socially & from where our identities originate as an individual.
